I bought this remote control from the wonderful store DealExtreme.com
Everything about this remote is more or less fine. It's a little angular, and the buttons are a bit stiff, but those are minor issues. Especially considering that it's small and uses radio, which means it works reliably over long distances. Even the Chinese button configuration software, while quite simple, is flexible enough to let you configure the remote's buttons separately for each application.
But the Chinese wouldn't be themselves if they didn't mess up something important. In this case, after installing the software, the F6 key becomes permanently bound to launching the remote configuration program. There seems to be no way to change this, but I'm persistent and will keep looking. As a last resort, I'll do without the program, since the latest version of my beloved ZoomPlayer natively supports Human Interface Devices that send any key codes—something few programs can boast of.
